Collection: Growing- Iteration One art prints
Early trauma meant that my body never felt like it was mine. I couldn't align myself with what I saw in the mirror, it didn't feel safe. I hated it and perpetrated years of abuse on it/myself. I decided in my 20s to I needed to change, go to therapy, take care of my body, reconnect with nature, feed my soul.
This body is the truest home I will ever have, I reclaimed it and am determined to keep it safe, honour it and plant it with good things.”
Growing explores finding home within ourselves and rebuilding after trauma. I have created a collection of digitally drawn images as an exercise in active healing through honest examination of self.
Hyper detailed depictions of the human form with plants sprouting from within, this visual interpretation of internal restoration invites you to see things clearly.
All of the flaws, but also the parts that bloom.
